happy weekend!

I will admit that I have a lot of work-related activities this weekend, but the saving grace is that my friends get to accompany me on several of my jaunts around Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill! Even better? A Superbowl Party with them all on Sunday evening (work not included).

Snowed In

I have been snowed in since Friday and loving every minute of it! There is so much excitement in our historic neighborhood when it snows. Kids are bundled up and throwing snowballs, adults come outside with their antique wooden sleds and fly down the streets and the local Krispy Kreme is packed with families grabbing cups of hot chocolate and doughnuts. I was so thankful that the snow fell on a weekend when I didn't have any activities planned, so I was able fully relax and enjoy the time with my husband. I haven't felt so relaxed or cozy in a long time.
